By design, the Sinclair Spectrum 128 +2 and 128 +3 models were given joystick ports which were deliberately wired differently so a specific Sinclair joystick had to be purchased. Unfortunately this meant, that although they fitted into the socket - the joystick off your C64, Amiga or Atari wouldn't work.

Our adapter converts the non-standard joystick port into a standard Atari compatible socket, meaning any joystick following the Atari-compatible format will work. For example:
